John Legend Feat. Melanie Fiona, The Roots, and Common-Wake Up Everybody
This is a remake of the classic Harold Melvin and the Bluenotes tune. I loved the original and this version is a great take on the song. Common gives it a very contemporary feel without destroying the vibe of the song. Common sounds strangely at home on the track. Every piece works so well together, Fiona’s vocals, Legend’s harmonizing, the Roots smooth instrumentals, and the production of the song. Just a good positive tune.
