Rock and Roll Takeover
Last night I had the chance to see Conan O’Brien’s comedy tour. He was hilarious and put on a fantastic show that was entertaining throughout. You could tell that the mixed comedy/variety show was amazingly therapeutic for Coco. He seemed to use the show to share a little of his feelings about his ordeal with NBC and the Tonight Show without making it too heavy or depressing. Conan wasn’t alone as he was joined by his band, co-host and friend, Andy Richter, Phish guitarist, Trey Anastasio, and Upper Darby native, Tina Fey. All of the guests were really cool and elevated the fun atmosphere of the night. I especially loved Fey, such a great surprise! Conan also allowed Deon Cole, a comedian and a member of his writing staff, come out and give a quick comedy set, which was awesome. This show made for a really fun night and showcased the fact that O’Brien will have no problem entertaining the masses in his new show this fall on TBS.
